This is my go-to waffle mix now - fantastic texture as well as flavor. I prefer Ube over Pandan &Coconut one. Will try black Sesame next.
I’ve now tried two different kinds of Kiukiu pancakes and they have consistently turned out great in both flavors. They’re fluffy while still getting that perfect crisp around the edges, genuinely tasty, and surprisingly filling. Most impressively, they’re the only alternative pancake my husband has ever actually liked.
Makes great waffles or pancakes! Follow the instructions to let it rise 5 minutes before you start cooking!
Great customer service. Best pancakes ever. Gluten free is a plus!
Kiukiu Ube Pancake and Waffle Mix makes amazing waffles. They got pleasantly crispy on the outside and had a tender crumb on the inside. The flavor was pleasantly sweet, tasting a bit like the rice flour they used to make this. I loved the color of the crumb which looked uniformly purple from farther away, but actually was speckled blue, purple, and aquamarine. As far as gluten free mixes go, this is one of the best!
A shop favorite! Chewy deliciousness that can be vegan (or not). Cute enough to be gifty and flavors so good that customers can’t help grab another bag!
My entire family loved this. Will buy again. Very fast customer service.
These pancakes are so delicious. Customer service is the best I've ever experienced. Will buy these again and again for my family.
This is truly the best pancake mix, let alone mochi mix, that I have ever had. The bonus being the black sesame flavor! Today, I'm making the Pandan with extra cocnut and dried pineapple. I'm so glad I found you....truly the best!
I don't eat gluten and these pancakes are not just delicious they make me HAPPY. I make a batch--5-6 pancakes--eat two or three and put the rest in a tupperware in the fridge. Then I pop one in the toaster oven and toast it twice and oh it's so delicious and comforting! GREAT product!
I like the flavor and texture. Calories were higher than expected
Amazing quality and flavor. Better than any mochi pancake mix I’ve tried so far.
This made a very nice pancake with a light, but distinct sesame flavor. It was mildly sweet, which is what I prefer in a pancake. I made it with milk/butter and also a batch with almond milk/vegetable oil. Both were excellent. The pancake is supposed to have a more chewy texture than a conventional pancake, but I didn't notice much difference. The directions said to let the batter sit for 5 minutes to develop the texture. I was anxious to get my pancake into my tummy. I also bought the ube and pandan flavors. I'm looking forward to trying them soon.
None of the flavors actually tasted like the flavors. If I had to choose, the Ube was the best. Texture was good. I think it’s better if you just advertise mochi pancakes without flavor.
Thanks so much for the honest feedback. Texture is core to what matters to us when building KiuKiu, so we’re glad that part landed. Our flavors are intentionally more ingredient-forward and not-to-sweet, rather than bold or artificial, but feedback like this helps us continue to improve and get better.
